John Langsdon, III
Third generation owner of Columbia Machine Works, John can often be found on the floor talking with members of his team and inspecting projects. He is an avid cyclist and loves riding his bike on the beautiful backroads of Maury County.
Steve joined the CMW team in 2006. He spent most of his career in retail management, which explains his drive for our company to offer unrivaled customer service. He and his wife of 32 years have 2 children and 2 grandchildren.
Billy has been with our company since 1966. He and his team of mechanical wizards have built a reputation with the stamping industry as “the guys to call” when a machine needs to be repaired. Billy has been instrumental to the growth of CMW over the last 50 years as a leader, man of integrity, and a remarkable problem solver/ diagnostician with a get it done attitude.
Fabrication Project Manager
Mike is one of our newest family members, but is not new to the industry at all. A skilled welder, he is also AWSCWI weld inspector that oversees the critical inspection process for aerospace, marine, off-shore drilling and theme park industry projects. When he’s not on the job, Mike can be found outdoors hunting and fishing or taking care of horses with his wife.
Dept. Head – Repair & Rebuild
A CMW veteran since 1994, Joey’s strong work ethic and extensive knowledge of presses, die-cast and injection mold machines moved him into a leadership role with our company. Joey is a zealous blacksmith and has completed training at the Tom Clark Ozark School of Blacksmithing. However, his real focus is his wife of 31 years and his family.
Machining Project Manager
The Kennedy family has a history with our company. Kevin’s father started with us in 1963 and his brother followed in 1986. Kevin joined our family in 1993 and, like his father and brother, displayed great talent and rose to a leadership role. He is married to the love of his life and recently welcomed his first grandchild.
Dept. Head – Machining Division
Austin started his career at our company sweeping floors when he was 18. By the time he was 25 he became the youngest shop supervisor in CMW history and is now a division head. His success is due to his knowledge of the machining process, attention to detail and his desire to serve. When he’s not solving the world’s problems, Austin enjoys building off-road buggies and spending time outdoors with his wife and 2 children.
Jeff Williams II
Dept. Head – Electrode Handling
A bit of a “mad scientist” with his out-of-the-box approach to lifting systems, Jeff draws on his 13+ years of steel industry experience to ensure every job meets or exceeds expectations. Anyone that has had the opportunity to work with him has seen his passion for problem solving. In his down time, Jeff enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 children or coaching soccer.
