A customer in the Marine Industry was in need a quantity of barge ports fabricated, and contracted Columbia Machine Works for the project.

Columbia Machine Works is equipped to handle any large capacity metal fabrication project. Using a CNC burn table and CNC milling machine, they were able to fabricate this out of steel and stainless steel sheets with a thickness of .250" in just 8 weeks and ship it to the customer’s location in Tennessee. The fabrication process required bending, welding, machining, deburring, and polishing. The dimensions of the finished barge ports were 48" in length, a width of 36" and a height of 8", fabricated to tolerances of ±1/32. Over 100 of these 200+ lb. products were ultimately fabricated.
