Toolmex CNC Lathes
Expanded Machining Capabilities Coming Summer 2010
Columbia Machine Works’ has expanded their machining capabilities with the addition of both the Toolmex TUR930MN and the TUR630MN CNC lathes. These state-of-the-art CNC lathes will increase the cost-effectiveness of machining complex internal geometry parts in limited runs.
The TUR930MN features a high-capacity 37-inch swing over bed for larger cutting projects, and is capable of cutting, tapering, boring, and grooving without the need for costly special tooling. The TUR630MN offers similar capabilities, but is equipped with a 25-inch swing.
Toolmex long bed lathes are recognized for their high capacity, accuracy, and long-term durability. Featuring a patented TRI-V bed design, Toolmex CNC lathes can support max work piece weights up to 8,800 pounds between centers.
These new European-built lathes will reinforce Columbia Machine Works’ specialization in machining larger components. Columbia currently offers vertical machining with envelopes of 40" x 40” x 120” and horizontal milling with capacities of 97 3/4" vertical to 139 ¾" horizontal.
